Getting treated in a timely manner helps visual outcome. If you have any symptoms of a medical problem such as scratchy eyes, itchy eyes, discharge, crust, flashes, or floaters, we recommend seeing us for an urgent care visit for evaluation and treatment. State of the art microscopes allow Dr. Ericksen to examine the front surface of the eye for infection or injury; these specialized tools allow Dr. Ericksen to provide red eye diagnosis and treatment in a more efficient and accurate manner than an emergency room or primary care physician’s office that does not have access to this type of instrument. Dr. Ericksen’s work in rural communities has given her many hours of care in office for treatment of viral infections, conducting removal of foreign matter, or prescribing antibiotics as needed.
