Urgent Same-Day Care
Get something in your eye, and it won’t come out? Ocular trauma or decreased vision can occur at any time.

Getting treated in a timely manner helps visual outcomes. If you have any symptoms of a medical problem such as scratchy eyes, itchy eyes, discharge, crust, flashes, or floaters, we recommend seeing us for an urgent care visit for evaluation and treatment. State-of-the-art microscopes allow Dr. Ericksen to examine the front surface of the eye for infection or injury. These specialized tools allow Dr. Ericksen to provide red-eye diagnosis and treatment more efficiently and accurately than an emergency room or primary care physician’s office without access to this type of instrument. Dr. Ericksen’s work in rural communities has given her many hours of care in the office to treat viral infections, removing foreign matter, or prescribe antibiotics as needed. Review some of the most common urgent care visit conditions below.

If you are having a true medical emergency involving absolute loss of vision, please dial 911 immediately or go directly to the nearest ER.
