Growing up in the Sandhills of Nebraska, Dr. Ericksen grew up where neighbors helped neighbors, and the community took pride in supporting each other. This sense of community has been instilled in how we view our support for our community.
To us, this means being involved in the community in various ways. Active not only financially, but also involved in charitable endeavors, providing free eye exams, and volunteering with today’s youth.
“As a child that has experienced vision problems, and more importantly as a doctor who has watched children struggle to keep up with their classmates, hide under desks, and battle suicidal thoughts because they are struggling with vision problems; I know the obstacles uncorrected vision can create. I am passionate about providing vision rehabilitative services to all people in need. My community sharing model allows me to provide free examinations for Clinic with a Heart, Women’s Care Center, and other Lincoln Nonprofit organizations striving to love others. I also provide vision rehabilitation for children with learning related problems, or adults suffering from binocular vision problems that inhibit reading and work. If you would like to be a part of the solution for “at-risk” children contact Beyond Vision LNK. We would be happy to share our Kottas program with you and discuss how we can work together to help others see the good life.”
